So, it's been a little while since I've posted, but I've been doing a lot of things to help further my career! For example, as the title of this post would suggest, I've got a new drummer! Yes, finally, I have somebody to play live with completing my live music lineup! I've got me (guitar and voals), Joe (lead guitar), Robert (bass), Marty (drums), Andrea (backing vocals, hand percussion)) and Jenn (backing vocals, hand percussion). Just the sound of a full band playing my own music is just amazing to me! We've got an 8-song set list right now and are ready to rock the local Orlando venue known as the AKA lounge on July 10th!
In other career-oriented successes, my What Time Will Change EP is now available for digital download on some of the major mp3 websites including iTunes! You can check it our for yourself at:

or
I've also singed up with a program through Clearchannel (one of the biggest radio companies in the US) to try and get my song "What You Do to Me" on the radio! You can help me out by going to this link and playing the song as many times as you can:

Another leap that I've taken is joining a little group known as BMI to help get paid for plays, which I definately do not expect to happen right away, but it's always good to be prepared! So, things are really cooking right now! My main concern is getting the live show down to a T, and anything else that comes with it will be GRAVY.
I'm psyched about the CD release party that I'm having tomorrow! I'm furiously working to get my T-shirts done. I dabbled for a short while in screen printing, but it never panned out, so I've decided to make use of some of the knowledge to make T-shirts to promote myself! It's coming toghther very nicely I think! :)
In other news, I recently introduced a new backup singer to the band! Her name is Jenn and she's adding a whole lot to the dynamic of the group. So now the line-up is me (singing and playing guitar), Robert (playing bass guitar), Joe (playing lead guitar), Andie (singing backup and playing percussion) and Jenn (singing backup and playing percussion)!! I just need to get a new drummer in the mix to make it all come together! I've decided to drop to whole backing drums thing because I only have the backing drum tracks for three songs. I still think that it sounds awesome even without the drums!
Well, I'm off to finish my design! I'll post more developments as they happen!
Last night, I got together with my bass player and guitarist and we jammed out to the drum track straight off of the CD and it worked great! There was no worries about whether or not the drummer would turn up on time! I think that's what I'll do for my CD release, because the place is too small to fit a live drummer anyway. Also, my CDs are finally scheduled to arrive this Monday! I am super-psyched!
So, I've decided that in the event that I don't have a drummer, I will get the original drum tracks from my songs and have a "DJ" of sorts on the stage behind the rest of the band. Basically, a guy in headphones that pushes play on the CD player. I think it just might work!
I'm axiously awaiting the arrival of the newly manufactured What Time Will Change EP! The manufacturer told me that the CD's (all nine boxes of them) should be shipping out on May 5th. There have been a few delays; one being about the artwork and the other about some problems with scratches on the master CD that I sent them. So, despite my frustration, I mailed them an immaculate copy of the CD that has never seen more than a computer tray, as well as a backup copy! They arrived yesterday I got a call saying that they look a lot better, but they have to pass a few tests before a glass master can be made. We'll see what happnens! Here's what the cover of the CD will look like!

I've been rehearsing with a full band to play out my original stuff! My guitar player (Joe) and bass palyer (Robert) are both awesome, but I've run into some complications with the drummer. I think I'm going to need to find a new drummer...and soon. I've got my EP release party coming up on June 7th, 2008 and I really want to play with the full band so that I can do the CD justice! We practiced with an annoying metronome, but at least we're playing on time.
